Why Pray?

[audio:ec_051913.mp3]

We have just ended our series on “The Blueprint of Life” and we have encouraged you to pray a prayer, “God, showed me your plan and your will for my life!” We believe that each and every one of us is specifically and uniquely made by God, and therefore God has a unique plan for all of us. Just because the series ended, we hope you don’t ever stop praying that prayer, because we believe if you willing to pray that prayer every day, you will find that God is closer than you think and He loves to speak to you.

This brings us to today’s topic, if God can do and is able to do what He wants to do anyway, why do we still need to pray? Have you ever have that question like I have? Why do we pray and what is the purpose of prayer? We want to welcome Pastor Neill today and I have asked him to specifically speak on the topic of prayer. I am pretty confident that he will help answer some of your questions about prayers. On May 28 Sacramento region, and I hope today’s message will encourage you to join us as we seek together to pray the prayers that God wants us to pray.

Changing Your Mind

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

John 14:12-14
