I have never ceased to be amazed at what God can do, especially through us. Last Sunday was a great Sunday. Not only did I get through my message with sickness (thanks for praying for me), the response that you gave after we showed the city hall meeting video and announced that we have successfully obtain our conditional use permit was amazing. Your enthusiastic response to the building project really encouraged me, and I am sure for everyone involved in this project as well. Sometimes when the Building Committee and I are looking at the project we get so bogged down by the details that worry begins to creep in. Your support, prayer and encouragement cannot be understated, and reminded us why we do what we do. At the end of the day it really isn’t about the building, but it’s a building that will be about the people, the people that are here already and the people that are not yet here.
Now that we have successfully obtained our permit I can assure you that there are many more steps to go. Like I said last week, there will be many more giants along the way just like those in your life. Therefore, our responses become critical in whether the giants remain giants, or they fall flat on the ground just like Goliath. Today I have invited my good friend pastor Jerry from Houston Home Church to share with us his experiences in building a church. I hope with his testimonies and sharing that we will be encouraged to continue to fight and preserver together and build our church together. Please give him a very warm welcome!
Changing Your Mind
I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.
They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work.
